Hydrogen trucks only emit water vapour. This makes hydrogen an important solution for zero-emission targets in the transport sector.

Thanks to its long range and fast refuelling times, hydrogen is particularly suitable for long distances and heavy loads.

Hydrogen is in line with European sustainability ambitions, including the Fit for 55 targets and zero-emission zones in cities.
How Rolande is preparing for hydrogen
At Rolande, we believe that hydrogen will eventually play an important role in clean heavy road transport. But we are also realistic about it: the market is still developing. That is why we are already preparing ourselves strategically today – so that you can make the right choices at the right time.
What we are doing now:
- We are closely monitoring technological developments.
We are in close contact with manufacturers, suppliers and governments to know when hydrogen will truly become scalable for heavy transport.
- We are exploring collaborations with partners in the chain.
These include vehicle manufacturers, logistics companies and knowledge institutions that, like us, believe in zero-emission solutions.

Our ambition is to integrate renewable hydrogen into our network as soon as the time is right. But only if it really works for your practice.
Is hydrogen already suitable for your transport needs?
