AdBlue is a liquid used in diesel vehicles. It is a safe and effective way to reduce emissions of hazardous nitrous oxides (NOx).
AdBlue helps to clean exhaust gases before they are released into the atmosphere. The vehicle’s exhaust features a special system that mixes AdBlue with exhaust gases. This triggers a chemical reaction that converts hazardous nitrous oxides into harmless nitrogen and water vapor.
Although HVO100 results in lower nitrous-oxide emissions compared to diesel, you still need to use AdBlue when you refuel HVO100.
